INDIA (Integrated Development Initiatives & Alternatives Foundation) is a non-governmental, non-political, non-profit organization registered under the Tamil Nadu Societies Registration Act 1975 (Tamil Nadu Act 27 of 1975). The organization has been in operation since 1988 in different parts of Tamil Nadu. With time, our activities have expanded as per the demands from the rural.

communities in which we are working, and have come to include poverty reduction, environmental restoration, micro credit, community organization etc among rural, poor families in a big way. We envisage an integrated strategy to address the challenges of poverty and underdevelopment.

To enable poor and downtrodden people to have sustainable access to safe drinking water, sanitation and better hygiene practices, through community partnership for the promotion of knowledge, skills and expertise and ownership.

Achieve a holistic development outcome through effective partnership with local, national and international based organizations through leveraging, combining and capitalizing on complementary strengths and capabilities.
